Tiago founded Rapid Hose in 2013 after becoming discouraged at the status quo of the onsite hydraulic hose industry. After a particularly frustrating day, Tiago called his wife Kerri and stated he was “going to quit his job as an onsite field technician and start his own onsite hydraulic hose replacement company.” One year later, he started operating the first Rapid Hose van out of their garage with a used truck. As he continued to expand the business, Tiago has always been focused on a better and more innovative way to solve a problem. He continues to grow the company with a focus on innovation and technology. He is especially adept at inventory management, van optimization and technology to support the company and help its customers.

Are you seeking owner/operators or executive owners?

We want our owners to be actively involved as owners/operators. As you grow, you may add more technicians, additional service and move into a management role (this is how we grew our business).

Can I own more than one territory?

Yes. We believe some owners will operate multiple vans and expand into new territories. We offer discounts on initial franchise fees for owners who commit to a Multi-Unit Development Agreement.

Do I need a retail shop?

No. Your shop can be home-based for equipment and hose stock with only about 100 sf needed since the business is entirely mobile. You will service customers on-site where they need you.

How many employees are needed to operate the business?

Just you - or one trained technician - that is all you need to get started.

How long does it take to open?

You should be able to open in as few as 2 to 3 months, it just depends on how quickly you complete pre-opening steps and training.

What are the startup costs and what do they include?

Currently, $152,733 to $239,783 for one territory (the $50,000 initial franchise fee is included in the start up costs). This includes costs for equipment, pre-opening marketing, and 3-months of working capital.

How much will the business make in a year?

We will be able to share our Financial Performance Representation, called an Item 19, in our Franchise Disclosure Document which highlights affiliate performance and history. This can be a useful tool to help you evaluate your revenue potential.
